Random thought for the day

Was out there, standing on the tracks and could see a train headlight down the track a ways and a thought occured to me.

The headlight isn't so the train can see you, it's so you can see the train. Kind of a weird thought when you think about it, we're so used to headlights being for the use of the vehicle they're on. Trains are different though, they can't turn away, they can't slam on their brakes, they pretty much just coast until they run you over.

I know, nothing super deep and philisophical, but you know me... :-D
